  1. How to add the site to trusted site?

    1.To add this site to trusted sites, please set following options of your IE browser.

    For XP Users Add the site to Trusted Sites: Internet Options --> Security -->
    Select Trusted Sites-->Click on Sites --> Add site url and uncheck the "Required server verification" --> OK --> OK

    For Windows Server OS (Windows Server 2000/2003): Internet Options -->
    Security --> Custom Level Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe = Prompt Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins = Enable On login page a message "An ActiveX control on this page might be unsafe to interact with other parts of the page. Do you want to allow this transaction?" will appear with Yes and No options. Please always click .
  2. Explorer Version:

    2.a If your system supports Internet Explorer (IE) version 6.0, your course activity page opens up immediately.

    2.b If your system has a lower version, you can down load IE 6.0 using the link provided in our home page.

    2.c In case you have IE version 5.5, then you can either upgrade it to IE version 6.0 as above or download a patch to make it compatible. We have provided the link in our home page for down loading the patch.

    2.d Enable “Pop up “ in your system. The pages of content is a pop up page in our site.
  3. Will the site work on all type of browsers?

    iGuru is compatible with Internet Explorer version 6.0. If your system has a lower version, please go to the home page where we have given link to download IE 6.0.
Non – Technical

 

  1. Is the training mandatory?
    Under the provisions of IRDA (Licensing of Insurance Agents) Regulations 2000, 50 hours of training is mandatory for an individual to become an authorised insurance agent.

  2. Can I become an agent?
    To be eligible, you should have passed Class XII or equivalent examination, conducted by recognised Board/Institution and must be residing in an area with a population of 5000 or more.

  3. How is online training different from classroom training?
    Conventional contact classes require travelling and spending 15 to 20 days at the institute for training. In online training, you will be provided with a "user id " and "password" for logging in to the portal. You can visit the portal at the time most convenient to you.

  4. Do I need any special software training?
    Basic knowledge of computers including the use of keyboard and mouse is all that is necessary.

  5. Who clarifies my doubts?
    The 'feedback' section facilitates interaction with the course instructor. e-mail facility enables the student to seek any clarification on the subject matter. Students can expect a prompt response.

  6. Is there any specific location for training?
    You can take up training from anywhere in India. All you need is a computer with Internet facility.

  7. What is the duration of the course?
    Online training is for 50 hours as stipulated by the IRDA with few exceptions for professionals who can do 25 hours of training.

  8. For how long is the online facility available?
    Six months from the time of registration. But once you start the course you have to complete within 14 days for 50 hour course.

  9. How do I monitor my progress?
    The moment you log on to the modules, the invisible instructor in our LMS keeps track of the progress. An inbuilt clock tracks your presence and logs in the time spent in each module. You will also be shown the minimum time to be spent on each module and the balance time left. It keeps track of the tests attended and the scores obtained by you in tests.
